Thanks for stopping by! 3G Racing races a M&C Motorsports built 2-1600 car in the highly competitive Pro 1600 series and select MORE and SNORE races. Entering its third year of competition, the team will debut a new car for the 2003 season. While the team is only two years old, its comprised of Third Generation (where the name comes from) Off-Road Racers whose families have been racing together, and against each other, for over 20 years.
While based on Type I VW suspension and drive train, there are few stock VW parts on a 1600 race car. Even though class rules limit the vehicles to roughly 10-inches of front travel and 15-inches in the rear and an approximately 85-HP 1600cc engine, the 1/2-1600 class provides the most "bang for the buck" in off-road racing. The rules keep the machines relatively even which makes the racing very tight.
